After the semi-final victory over Tunisia on penalties, in the final of the international tournament in Cairo, Croatia faced off against the host Egypt, at the new stadium in the administrative center of the Egyptian capital.

The home team quickly rejoiced at the goal: already in the sixth minute, Rabia sent the ball behind Labrović’s back from close range, but in the 21st minute Vlašić took care of the equalizer with an excellent shot under the bar, from the edge of the penalty area.

With that 1:1, we went to the break, where Petković missed a great opportunity at the very end of the first half, but he made up for it in the 57th minute, when he scored a goal for 2:1 with a header on the second assist from Modrić.

Kramarić was also precise with his header, in the 77th minute, after Majer’s cross from the break, while it was Majer who put the “dot on the i” a few minutes before the end of the match.

Croatia has thus successfully concluded this national team campaign, and a new gathering is scheduled ahead of the UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany, when Zlatko Dalić’s team will play friendly matches against North Macedonia and Portugal.
