Another round of the Croatian football league was played this weekend as well

RIJEKA – LOKOMOTIVA 2:1 (Pašalić 38′, Djouahra 78’/Bubanja 6′)
RIJEKA: Labrović – Smolčić, Galesić, Radeljić, Goda – Lepinjica (Hodža 60′), Selahi (Ilinković 69′) – Janković (Djouahra 76′), Pašalić (Grgić 69′), Fruk (Liber 76′) – Ivanović

Rijeka reached its third league victory. The victory was minimal but very important. Many opportunities marked the match, and Lokomotiva took the lead in the sixth minute. It was a shock for Rijeka football players, but somehow they got back into the rhythm. In the 38th minute, Pašalić scores to equalize, and Rijeka returns to the beginning. The second half was similar, but only one goal was scored. The scorer was Djouahra in the 78th minute to give Rijeka the lead. It was the final result.

After the European match on Thursday, Osijek played against Gorica at home. The European game left its mark. After last week’s points spilling, this week’s story is about Mijo Caktaš, who entered the circle of HNL legends. The player from Osijek joined the select group and became only the sixth player in the “100 Club”. There are also Vugrinec, Cvitanović, Krstanović, Popović and Mumlek. They have in common that they scored over 100 goals in the league.

Caktas plays like in the most murderous days. Perhaps he even surpassed them. In the fourth game, he was among the scorers, and with his six goals, he separated himself from the list of scorers. For now, he holds the first place.

Osijek did not enter the match well. The game against Adana left a significant impact on the Osijek players. It took time for the hosts to catch the rhythm and working temperature. Then it started. There were chances, but Caktaš scored the lead and the final score in the 29th minute.

SLAVEN BELUPO – ISTRIA 1961 2:2 (Mioč 12′, Crnac 23′ / Vuk 38′, Erceg 84′)
SLAVEN BELUPO: Sušak – Bosec, Račić, Štefulj, Martinaga – Marina (Boras 77′), Agbekpornu – Crnac, Mioč, Hoxha – Ortiz (Štrkalj 71′)
ISTRA: Majkić – Hujber, Majstorović, Marešić, Valinčić – Mlinar (from 62. Blagojević 62′), Petrušenko (Kadušić 80′), Čuić (Nebyla 62′) – Lisica (Matheus 46′), Erceg, Vuk (Josipović 70′ )

This was an exciting and uncertain match. Slaven Belupo led 2:0 and at the end of the first half, went to rest with a minimal advantage. The new coach of Istria, David Catala Jimenez, also made his debut. He squandered Slave Belupo’s points and thus denied himself the jump to third place.

Slaven Belupo took the lead in the 12th minute through Mioč, and ten minutes later, Crnac also scored for a 2:0 lead. By the end of the half, Istria reduced the score through Vuk, and towards the end of the game, Erceg also scored. At the end of the game, Erceg had a chance to beat the opponent with a free kick, but he was inaccurate.

RUDEŠ – HAJDUK 0:2 (Livaja 4′, Melnjak 15′)
RUDEŠ: Kralj – Šare (Plazonja 68′), Matić, Campos, Tomečak – Bašić, Vukmanović (Srbljinović 64′), Pasariček (Stipić 81′) – Lazarov (Mašala 64′), Latković – Ljubanović (Rešetar 81′)
HAJDUK: Lučić – Moufi, Šarlija, Diallo, Melnjak – Krovinović (Laus 79′), Sigur – Dolček (Dajaku 79′), Odjidja Ofoe (Benrahou 61′), Sahiti (Mlakar 61′) – Livaja (Kalik 90′)

He played four games for Hajduk this season, and his performance was 100%. They hold first place for now. By the 15th minute, Hajduk scored both goals and thus brought the game to an end. After the express relegation from European competitions, Hajduk set out to win the championship.

However, technical problems surrounding the television broadcast and a massive crowd in front of the stadium delayed the match for the 10th minute. This was a duel between the first and the last in the rankings, and it was clear that the guests would have much support.

Hajduk also won this match, and Robert Prosinečki has yet to win this season.

The match between Dinamo and Varaždin was postponed due to Dinamo’s European commitments. We will talk about this problem in a separate text.
