THE AMAZING FILIP ZUBČIĆ HAD AMAZING PERFORMANCES IN ALTA BADIA

After two days, the Croatian skier Filip Zubčić had excellent rides in the Italian Alta Badia

On Sunday, Filip Zubčić took second place in the giant slalom, which the skiers drove in Alta Badia. The first meat went to Marco Odermatt from Switzerland. Zubčić was 19 hundredths slower than the Swiss, who is also the leader in the overall standings. The Slovenian Žan Kranjec took third place in Sunday’s giant slalom. Zubčić won second place in the giant slalom two and a half years ago.

Another giant slalom was held today, and the victory was again taken by the Swiss Marco Odermatt, his third giant slalom victory this season, and his fourth victory in total on the Gran Risa track in Alta Badia. Filip Zubčić remained below the podium today, although he has the second time after the first run. In the second run, he lost too much time in the upper part of the track, and he did not manage to make up for it in the lower part.

This is Marco Odermatt’s sixth victory in a row in giant slalom, and with that, he overtook Ingemar Stenmark and Marcelo Hirscher who had a streak of five giant slalom victories. With this, he achieved what no one has been able to achieve until now. Let’s mention that this was the 27th victory in the World Cup races, and the 17th Victory in the giant slalom.

In the giant slalom, the leader is Odermatt with a maximum of 300 points, the second is Schwarz with 90 points less, while Zubcic is in third place with 180 points. Odermatt leads the overall standings with 456 points, Schwarz is second with 353 points, and Filip Zubcic is third with 198 points. The next race is in Madonna di Campiglio, in four days, and the skiers will be doing slalom.
