Dinamo and Hajduk opened the new Supersport HNL season at 8:00 p.m. at the Maksimir Stadium.

Hajduk shocked the Zagreb team and won 2:1 from Zagreb. Dinamo took the lead in the 35th minute with a goal by Bruno Petković, and in the 64th minute, Lučić saved his shot from eleven meters. Just 10 minutes later, Livaja equalized after a mistake by Livaković. At the end of stoppage time, Pukštas scored for a turnaround, and thus Hajduk won.
