HAJDUK FALLS OUT WITHOUT A BULLET FIRED, OSIJEK A PYRISH VICTORY, RIEKA RUTINSKI

Croatian football clubs played return matches in the Conference League

PAOK – HAJDUK 3:0 (Schwab 12′-11m, Živković 78′, 85′)
PAOK: Kotarski – Kedziora, Troost-Ekong, Koulierakis, Baba – Schwab, Tsingaras (Soares 62′, Odzoev 73′) – Narey (Taison 62′), Konstantelias, Živković – Samatta (Brandon 78′).
HAJDUK: Lučić – Moufi (Mikanović 82′), Šarlija, Diallo, Melnjak – Sigur, Krovinović (Benrahou 59′) – Sahiti (from 59. Dolček), Odjidja (Čuić 82′), Mlakar (Dajaku 72′) – Livaja.

PAOK is going to the playoffs of the Conference League. Hajduk has judged itself. Odjidja Ofoe and Dialla were sinners and gifted goals to PAOK.

Hajduk created their chances in the first few minutes. They had a chance to shock Thessaloniki. But the beginning of the match comes from some nightmare. PAOK was already in the lead after the 12th minute. He squeezed Hajduk until the end of the half, but it didn’t work.

Hajduk created chances, and they had opportunities to equalize the score in the first half. Somehow, the Split team held on even at the beginning of the first half. About ten minutes before the end of the game, the Greeks increased their lead, and five minutes before the end, the final score was set.

PAOK was not the better team, but they took advantage of Hajduk’s gifts. That is why they are going to the playoffs of the Conference League. Scottish Hearts are waiting for them there.

RIJEKA – B36 TORSHAVN 2:0 (Pašalić 14′, Grgić 82′)
RIJEKA: Labrović – Veiga, Galesić, Radeljić (from 46. Mitrović), Vukčević – Hodža, Selahi (Ilinković 64′) – Pašalić (Grgić 72′), Fruk (Liber 64′), Janković (Djouahra 46′) – Ivanović
B36 TORSHAVN: Lamhauge – Jonsson, Nattestad, Egilsson (Giessing 79′) – Solheim, Johansen (Joensen 79′), E. Nielsen (Hellisdal 46′), Skandari (Šabala 61′), Benjamisen – Przybylski, B. Nielsen (Knudsen 61′)

Rijeka was the only one to do the job routinely. They recorded another victory over B36 Torshvan. For now, Rijeka is 100% going to the playoff of the Conference League. But I can’t even imagine how much hard work awaits them there. In the playoff, they will play against the French LOSC Lille.

The guests were unafraid of the full stands at the beginning of the match. They almost came close to shocking Rijeka, but they failed. Soon the river tied all the strings in its game and started to play correctly. Rijeka took the lead in the 14th minute and cheered almost seven thousand people in Rujevica.

Rijeka put pressure on the guests from the Faroe Islands, but the increase in the lead and confirmation of passage to the playoffs came near the end of the match. Grgić scored in the 82nd minute of the game and thus took Rijeka to the feet of French Lille.

OSIJEK – ADANA DEMIRSPOR 3:2 (Nejašmić 43′, Caktaš 59′, Gržan 83’/Sari 31′, 90′)
OSIJEK: Malenica – Gržan, Barišić, Mrktčjan, Guedes- Brlek, Nejašmić (Omerović 73′) – Bukvić (Jugović 73′), Caktaš (Pušić 63′), Lovrić (Špoljarić 80′), Mierez (Hiroš 80′).
ADANA DEMIRSPOR: Karačić – Svensson, Güler, Gravillon, Rodrigues – Stambouli (Tokoz 75′), Akbaba – Sari, Belhanda (Nani 63′), Akintola (Erdogan 63′) – Ndiaye (Niang 46′)

Many have said that miracles are possible and can happen. But the miracle did not occur at Opus Arena. However, Osijek dropped out of Europe with a win. Adana is a somewhat superior team to Osijek. This is proof that Osijek had a terrible evening in Turkey.

Osijek had nothing to lose. He went for an early hit to get a hot tailwind for an impossible mission. Opus Arena was not filled, but the atmosphere was good. Both had opportunities, but somehow Osijek seemed better and more concentrated compared to the first match.

You learn from mistakes. That is why we hope that Osijek will play in European competitions next season and that they will be brighter.

Is the Croatian football league good? Or bad? The results in European competitions say it all. We have two more clubs in UEFA competitions, and it is to be expected that only Dinamo will have matches this European fall.

What to do with our league? What does it take to advance in European competitions? We will talk about this in a separate text.
