SECOND DEFEAT OF THE CROATIAN VOLLEYBALL AT EUROVOLLEY

Croatian volleyball players lost the match in the second round as well

Even after the second round, Croatia has yet to learn about winning at Eurovolley. The Croatian volleyball player will not be lucky against the eastern part of the Balkans. After the defeat against Bulgaria, they also lost against Romania in sets with the same result.

The Romanian won with a score of 3:1 (25:22, 25:21, 23:25, 25:19). The Croatians had a relatively weak reception and a lot of deconcentration in defense. There was also disorganization in the attack. All this influenced the result of this rejuvenated Croatian selection.

Croatian coach Fehrat Akbas changed the players’ positions slightly, which did not yield a positive result. Croatian women tried to create and do something, but it didn’t work. Croatia led the first two sets, but the Romanians were more organized and concentrated.

The statistics were heavily on the winning side, and the most efficient player in Croatia was Andrea Mihaljević with 17 points. Božana Butigan followed her with 12 points, Martina Å amadan, and Lucija Mlinar with 11 points. In the next match, Croatia plays against neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting is scheduled for today, August 18, starting at 6 o’clock.
