The eighth round of the HNL was played
LOKOMOTIVA – RUDEŠ 1:0 (Tuci 39′)

Lokomotiva won against Rudeš and thus won valuable points. Lokomotiva won 1:0 with a goal from Tuci in the 39th minute. This was one of the worse performances this season. There is not much to add. Every created opportunity was not a dangerous situation for the opponent’s goal. Rudešani have not scored a goal for the fifth game in a row, and somehow the second league is placed next to them.
DINAMO – SLAVEN BELUPO 3:0 (Vidović 25′, Petković 50′, Štefulj 66′ a.g.)

This was a match in which Dinamo was expected to routinely win and win three points. Dinamo did the job in the best possible way. Without drama and stress, but also without pain and panic. Dinamo routinely won 3:0.
The difference in quality was obvious. However, Dinamo was engaged, the game existed, the actions were real, the realization was somewhat satisfactory. Bruno Petković played a good game, Vidović did his job correctly, and captain Arijan Ademi also returned.
As for the game itself, Dinamo started fast and strong. The goal had to wait until the 25th minute, when Vidović scored his debut in the HNL. Dinamo was more specific until the end of the half with temporary flashes from Slaven Belup.
At the beginning of the second half. The only difference is that the goal was scored after the 5th minute of the game in the sequel. The shooter was Bruno Petković. Dinamo plays and creates opportunities, and Slaven Belupo crosses the center here and there to reach Dinamo’s goal. However, in the 66th minute, Dinamo leads 3:0. After throwing a long ball in front of the opponents’ goal, Štefulj wanted to return the ball to the goalkeeper with his head. However, as the goalkeeper of the visitors jumped on the ball, it went into the empty net and thus the final result was set.
At the Maksimir stadium, there was also a return – the return of captain Arijan Ademi.
RIJEKA – OSIJEK 2:1 (Pjaca 47′, 55’/Pušić 85′)

On the wings of Marko Pjaca, Rijeka won the derby. Only Malenica and the inaccuracy of Rijeka’s players saved Osijek from a bigger result disaster. Rijeka entered the match furiously, but there were no goals until the end of the first half.
As in the first part of the game, Rijeka was better. Already in the 47th minute, Pjaca made a great turn about 20 meters away and after a few steps shot at the goal and scored his debut for Rijeka. The goal seemed to be an incentive for them to start even stronger, and the goal fell in the 55th minute. Pjaca lined up two Osijek players and broke free to shoot and hit the opposite corner.
Rijeka took a 2:0 lead, and the score did not change until the 85th minute. Osijek reduced the result through Pušić. Osijek did not have the strength to come back and turn around, and with this result, they suffered their second defeat of the season.
GORICA – HAJDUK 2:1 (Štiglec 87′, Jurić 90’+2’/Šarlija 62′)

Hajduk lost the second game in a row. Fantastic last few minutes of Gorica led to a fantastic turnaround. They announced from Hajduk that this break could be good for them, but it seems that it turned out much worse. It seems that the Hajduk players have not recovered from the match against Istria.
Hajduk took the lead in the 62nd minute through Šarlija, but it seemed to stop there. He had a lot of chances in the first half, but after the goal the game went downhill. In the 87th minute, Gorica scored an equalizer through Štiglec. Just five minutes later, Jurić scores a goal for Gorica to win.
Gorica did not play cowardly, but had possession, although in some situations they created problems for themselves. Both had their opportunities. Maybe Gorica a little more specifically, but there was no realization until near the end of the match.
There was shock and disbelief on the faces of the Hajduk players. But as they played, it’s strange to be in disbelief. This will not be good for Hajduk. And it is better for the Croatian Federation to deny Hajduk the license to play in European competitions. Because if they can’t play in the Croatian league, how will they play in the European competition.
VARAŽDIN – ISTRIA 1961 1:0 (Postonjski 74′-11m)

Varaždin beat Istra 1961. The score was 1:0, and the only scorer was Postonjski from a penalty kick in the 74th minute. The game was weak on both sides. There were several opportunities for both clubs, but without realization or significant success.
The first and only goal was scored only in the 74th minute, scored from a penalty kick. The game must be much better and of better quality. Otherwise, it won’t be good for everyone.
