HNL REVIEW: THE LEADING THREE WON

Another round of HNL was played, and the leading clubs defeated their opponents

SLAVEN BELUPO – HAJDUK 0:1 (Livaja 44′-11m)
SLAVEN BELUPO: Sušak – Bosec, Boras, Božić, Štefulj – Lepinjica, Agbekpornu – Liber, Mioč (Cascini 90’+2′), Hoxha – Štrkalj
HAJDUK: Lučić – Sigur, Uremović, Šarlija, Diallo – Žaper, Pukštas, Krovinović (from 64. Moufi) – Sahiti (Dolček 72′, Elez 84′), Livaja, Melnjak (Trajkovski 72′)

Hajduk won another victory. Mislav Karoglan should be more than satisfied with the victory. Why? Because his team almost didn’t show anything. If you thought that it was a bad game under Ivan Lek, then it will be even worse under the new coach.

Marko Livaja didn’t show anything in the matches, which is befitting because he is that kind of player. But this time at least he won a penalty kick which he took advantage of. This somehow ended the crisis he was having in the game. Time will tell whether anything will change.

Although Hajduk was better somehow, there were no serious chances. And the game was even worse. The guests were pressing, but that was not good at all. You have to have more than what you have now to fight for the title of state director. They can hold you and push you in all directions, but they won’t get very far if they continue like this.

RUDEŠ – VARAŽDIN 0-0
RUDEŠ: Marković – Pešić (Campos 68′), Pavlović, Matić, Pavlek (Petković 68′) – Srbljinović, Pasariček – Topić, Latković (Bašić 74′), Špeljak (Tomečak 33′) – Simović (Kovačević 74′)
VARAŽDIN: Zelenika – Vukčević, Pellumbi, Jelenić, Boršić (Bručić 81′) – Marina (Belcar 63′), Pilj, Elezi – Mitrovski, Domjanić (Šego 63′), Drožđek (Vugrinec 81′)

Between these opponents, there were no winners, but no goals either. The hosts and guests had several chances, but there was no realization. This is Rudes’ third point in the championship, and the second match without goals. This is the seventh time that Varaždin has played tied this season. Varaždin remained sixth in the standings, and Rudeš was last with three points.

OSIJEK – ISTRA 1961 3:1 (Jugović 47′, 86′, 90’+4’/ Filet 97′)

Osijek won again. He won on the wings of captain Vedran Jugović, who was sent off with ovations from the field. This was his first hat-trick of the season. Even though Istria was fighting, Jugović crushed the visitors.

Osijek attacked Istria without Mija Caktaš and Kristijan Lovrić, and captain Jugović came on in the second half. For the first two, this is the first time they have been in the reserves since they came to Osijek. Osijek was better, although Istria was combative.

RIJEKA – GORICA 1:0 (Pašalić 8′)
RIJEKA: Labrović – Smolčić, Dilaver, M. Mitrović, Goda – Selahi – Pašalić (Hodža 80′), Fruk (Banda 87′), Janković, Pjaca (Radeljić 87′) – Yansane (Obregon 71′)
GORICA: Banić – Munsgaard, Maloča, Krizmanić, Štiglec – Soldo (Pršir 64′), Mrzljak (Šroler 83′) – Vujnović (Ilečić 46′), Ndockyt, J. Mitrović (Kapulica 69′) – Jurić (Matavž 46′)

Rijeka played for a good 90 minutes. But luck favored them only once, in the 8th minute. Rijeka had more than 20 shots on target. Rijeka deservedly beat Gorica. Rijeka played with pressure and took the lead in the eighth minute. Pašalić was the shooter.

Right before the end of the game, Radeljić almost turned Rijeka into the dark. However, Mitrović skillfully and successfully saved the shot. This gave Rijeka three points and a return to first place.

DINAMO – LOKOMOTIVA 2:1 (Baturina 90’+5′, Kaneko 90’+7’/Tuci 4′)
DINAMO: Zagorac, Ristovski, Theophile, Perić (Ljubičić 46′), Perković; Mišić, Ademi (Sučić 86′), Menalo (Kaneko 58′), Bulat (Vidović 46′), Baturina, Kulenović (Emreli 58′)

Dinamo again in the old way. Dinamo possessed the ball, and the goal came only in stoppage time in the second half. With this victory, Dinamo somehow managed to save itself the first season. He was able to keep up with the leaders.

This was the most important victory because these kinds of matches can direct and turn the entire season. This match was important because, with the victory, Dinamo got out of the blockade and depression. The Japanese kamikaze managed to break through the visitors and bring victory to Dinamo.

Now Dinamo, with a game less, can start defending the national champion. This is going to be a long and difficult season for Dinamo. Now they need to keep a calm head and continue the fight for the league title. They just need to do well in the transition period and winter preparations, and then everything will fall into place.
