CROATIA BEAT NORTH MACEDONIA IN THE PREPARATION FOR EURO 2024

Hrvatska, Sjeverna Makedonija, UEFA, EURO 2024

The Croatian football national team played the first preparatory match for the upcoming EURO 2024

CROATIA – NORTH MACEDONIA 3:0 (Majer 10′, 45′, Marco Pašalić 79′)
Croatia: Livaković – Juranović, Erlić (Pongracić 66′), Vida, Sosa – Kovačić (Sučić 46′), Baturina (Marco Pašalić 66′) – Majer, Kramarić (Ivanušec 55′), Perišić (Pjaca 59′) – Petković ( Budimir 59′)
North Macedonia: Dimitrievski – Zajkov, Velkovski (Dimoski 73′), Musliu – Ashkovski (Mitrovski 57′), Atanasov (Konstatinov 57′), Alimi, Elmas, Alioski – Miovski (Ristovski 67′), Trajkovski (Churlinov 67′)

This was a typical preparatory match in which Croatia played very well and thus got the obvious outlines with which they will present themselves in the upcoming competition. Croatia looked so good, and Lovro Majer stood out, although the others were not far behind. Let’s mention that Dominik Livaković had two good interventions in the first half and that was when he came out of the goal.

Croatia took the lead in the 11th minute through Lovro Majer, and after that, Croatia created opportunities but did not realize them. Of course, until the 45th minute of the match, when Martin Baturina, Bruno Petković, and Lovro Majer played an ideal action, where Majer scored his second goal.

Croatia started well in the rest of the game, but as the substitutions took place, the game slowed down. North Macedonia had several opportunities but failed to realize the opportunities created. But in the 79th minute, the “local” boy Marco Pašalić scored his first goal for Croatia. He scored a goal on a field he managed to “revive” and thus successfully announced EURO 2024.

Croatia has concretely completed its preparatory match, but we need to see how it will look against Portugal, which is a much better team than today’s opponent. The game against Portugal is on Saturday. Overall, it is a good choice for opponents to prepare for EURO 2024.
