After a turnaround and a 3:2 victory in the first game in Koszalin, Marinko Mavrović‘s team achieved their goal and, with the support of the home crowd in Zagreb’s KC Dražen Petrović, secured a place at the World Cup!

Croatia took the lead in Zagreb after 16 minutes of play, when Marinović finished off a nice action with a precise, strong shot. With that 1:0, they went to rest, and after Jelovčić’s shot, Kaniewski deflected the ball into his net for 2:0 ten minutes before the end.

However, Skiepko from the crowd in front of the Croatian goal in the 34th minute reduces Poland’s deficit and restores the uncertainty. In the very end, Postružin was sent off, and in the last minute, the Poles managed to even the score at 2:2 through Kubik. However, in the last 45 seconds, Croatia saved its door and confirmed the visa for the world exhibition.
