CROATIANS SCORED 10 GOALS IN THE GERMAN FINAL

The first match of the playoff finals of the national championship was played in Hannover. Defending champion, Berlin’s Spandau 04 took a 1-0 lead after beating the home team away from home with a better five-pointer performance.

Namely, it was Waspo 98 HannoverSpandau 04 12:14 (1:1, 3:2, 3:5, 2:1 – 3:5). The first scorer of the game was Andrija Bašić, who scored 5 goals for Waspo 98 Hannover. Luka Lozina scored two more for the home team, and captain Marko Macan added 1. So, out of 9 goals of Waspo 98 Hannover, 8 were scored by Croats. Andrija Bašić also scored the tying goal 26 seconds before the end of the fourth quarter for 9:9.

Marin Tomasović scored two goals for the winning team Spandau 04. The next two finals will be played in Berlin on June 1 and 2, and the German champion will be the first team to win three games.
