RECOGNITION FOR RK NEXE: THEY WILL NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE EUROPEAN LEAGUE QUALIFICATIONS

In the new season of the EHF European League, 32 clubs divided into eight groups will play, and the best two clubs advance to the next stage of the competition. In the second phase, there will be four groups of four clubs

The European handball umbrella organization has finally recognized everything Nexe from Našice has done so far. After the semifinals and quarterfinals of the EHF European League, RK Nexe will not have to go through the qualifications but go directly to the groups of that competition. Finally!

Although this competition has been expanded from 24 clubs to 32, the perfect thing is that RK Nexe does not have to re-qualify for the Europa League. In the qualifiers, they had respectable names such as Löwen, Hannover, Ystadt, and others.

In the new season of the EHF European League, 32 clubs divided into eight groups of four teams will play. The best two clubs will win the next stage of this competition. In that phase, four groups of four teams will be formed. The first from the second stage go directly to the quarterfinals, while the second and third place will go to the playoffs and have the opportunity to reach the quarterfinals in two games. The winners of the quarterfinal matches will advance to the final tournament, which will be held on May 25 and 26, 2024.

The group draw is on the 21st of this month in Vienna, and the first matches are on the 17th of October. RK Nexe is in the first hat, and there are also Füchse from Berlin, Sporting from Lisbon, Nantes, Cuenca, Gornik Zabrze, and Swiss Schaffhausen.

It should be mentioned that RK Sesvete and RK Trogir will be Croatian representatives in the EHF European Cup; otherwise the third rank of competition under the EHF. Both clubs start from the second round. RK Zagreb will also play in the Champions League this year.
